Vrillée! (warped)!
Aujourd'hui j'ai (essayé) de finaliser la porte en soudant tout autour du fer plat de la porte de gauche. L'idée c'était qu'il n'y ait aucun endroit susceptible de rouiller. mais en voulant faire trop bien la chaleur intense d'un cordon de soudure aussi long a completement déformé le montant en cornière de 35.
Today I (tried) to finish the left door by welding the flat piece of steel to would allow the two doors to joint. The idea was to weld all around it so no rust could penetrate. But by wanting to make it too perfect, the heat created by such a long weld completely bent and warped the whole frame made in 35mm "L".
Special dedication to my old man right here! not too bad huh?!

J'ai essayé de résoudre le problème avec un pied-droit en coinçant la porte contre le mur mais ça n'a pas marché car je n'arrivais pas à aller au-dela du point d'elasticité du metal. En même temps je confirme que le muret sud est solide... je lui ai mis quelques tonnes mine de rien! Les anciens savaient faire du solide!
I tried to solve the problem with a prop by pushing the door frame against the wall. But it didn't work because I wasn't able to go over the elasticity point of the metal. Meanwhile I confirmed that the ancient brick wall on the south of the house is solid... I put quite some torque on it... doesn't move. Our ancesters knew how to build!
J'ai donc été acheter du métal pour refaire le montant.
I therefore went to buy some "L"profile to do it again.
Et des nouveaux disques à meuler aussi... celui de droite était bien entamé ;-)
And new grinding discs too... I think I got all I could out of the one on the right !
